Welcome to Park Farm, the home of Open Farm and Vintage Weekend here in Thorney. Open Farm Sunday started back in 2006 and is promoted by LEAF to connect farmers with their customers. Park Farm has opened every year since and we are now working with the Peterborough Farm Machinery Preservation Society.
The ethos of our Open Farm and Vintage Weekend is to bring farmers, their customers, families, local community groups, vintage enthusiasts and others together. Sharing the wonderful place that this part of the Fens is and how we grow food for the Nations table. See how we deliver habitat for farmland wildlife, use the latest technology and enjoy the way we used to work! We also would like you to have a fun free day out and enjoy picking your own potatoes.
Since 2006 we have welcomed 75,000 visitors, this event is only possible by the generosity of local farmers, community groups and with the support of National and Local Sponsors. In 2019 we hosted our fourteenth event and welcomed 9,100 visitors over the weekend! Every year a team of over 125 volunteers make it all possible and their continued support is very much appreciated. From Newborough Young Farmers in the Car Park, the Welcome Crew, the hard workers in the food hall, the vintage team on spuds and our farm stewards. It is a great team who work at Park Farm making the weekend possible and to make your experience as pleasurable as possible, please remember this is a free event put on by volunteers and Park Farm.
So come, enjoy and make memories.
